Day 190- National Museum and Japanese Stores

Today our first stop was at the National Museum! We saw many different pieces of artwork from sculptures, to decorative kimonos, to calligraphy paintings! We also saw a Japanese archeological exhibit!

I enjoyed it a lot more than this picture portrays!

Outside the museum is a very popular park! Since it is Saturday, everyone was there!

We also think a small festival was going on because of the amount of food trucks and performers we saw! We stopped and saw a magician and a stunt man balancing on chairs! I thought they were both really fun and liked that with those kinds of shows there is no language barrier!

While walking through the park, we were able to see a few cherry blossoms just starting to bloom!

So yes, I know we just went to one of these yesterday, but it was so dang good and we don’t have them at home- we went to another converyor belt sushi place. It was generally the same idea, only at this one your food was delivered on tiny bullet trains!

After getting sushi-ed up again, we walked over to a few giant stores. One of them contained everything you could imagine- much like a Target or Walmart on steroids. It was 5 stories of crazy colors, loud music coming from each different aisle, and an incredible amount of just... things. So many little cheap toys and trinkets!

The other one we explored was Yodobashi-Akiba. It also has everything you could imagine, but it is mostly full of tech gadgets and that is why we went! Alexander enjoyed gawking at all of the many, many brands and types of electronic things!
