Duomo di Milano

Day 94- Duomo di Milano and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

Today we had a large brunch at home and then spent the day walking a loop around Milan. We took a tram from our place to the Duomo di Milano and then wandered back. The Duomo di Milano (aka the Milan Cathedral) is the largest Cathedral in Italy (St. Peter’s Basilica doesn’t count because it is technically in the Vatican City) and the third largest in the whole world!

Our other big stop was at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II! Since Milan is known as a fashion capital of the world, we needed to stop at it’s marvelous mall and drool over the shops inside!

After our afternoon exploring, we went to a restaurant right by our AirBnB for an Italian dinner! I had a giant pizza and Alexander got some seafood pasta! We were pleased to find that food prices in Italy are quite inexpensive, so that means we can indulge on pizza and pasta for the next couple weeks :)
