Day 63- Luxembourg Gardens and the Love Bridge

Today we got up and headed to the Luxembourg Gardens! We planned on getting our baguettes at the bakery by our hotel again, but since it is Sunday, they were closed! So instead we decided to go to a cute little cafe by the gardens!

Unfortunately, it rained for most of the day. However, I got to see ponies, so it’s all good!

We strolled around the gardens for quite a while and enjoyed the variety of views!

Because we’re dorks, we already knew that there was a Statue of Liberty in the Luxembourg Gardens from National Treasure 2. We planned on seeing the original, but it was on the other side of town.

Next, we went to the famous lock bridge or “Bridge of Love”. Lovers from all around the world come to put a lock on the bridge and throw the key into the river. HOWEVER, when we arrived we saw that all of the locks were removed and the metal bars on the bridge were covered with plastic sheets. So, instead of actually putting our lock on the bridge, we put it next to the bridge like many others have done.

The lock we chose came with 3 keys. So we each threw one into the river and we kept one as a keepsake!

Then, after seeing both of the other two Apple Stores in Paris, we finally found the flagship store that Alexander really wanted to see! He took lots of pictures and played with the new phone and computers!

Since it is our last night in Paris, we went home and ate up all of our leftovers for dinner!
