Day 107- Roman Colosseum and Roman Forum

Today after getting up and ready, we took a bus to the Colosseum!

We actually thought it would be bigger, but it was still a magnificent structure considering when it was first created! The halls around the outside of the arena contain a museum about the history of the Colosseum and then you can look over the edges into the middle. You can take an extra tour to actually go down into it.

After the colosseum we went across the street to the Roman Forum. It is the ruins of several important government buildings. The large space was basically the center of life in Ancient Rome. It held a marketplace, public speeches, criminal trials, and other events.
